Sodexo's Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opening for the private United Club located at Washington National Airport (DCA).   We are seeking a top-notch, hospitality-driven Club General Manager to lead the Food and Beverage operations within this private club/lounge. 

 

The lounges are dedicated spaces for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy chef created dishes or order from the full-service bar, which serves premium wine and spirits. We are seeking dynamic, energetic and experienced General Managers to be part of creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.  These managers will be responsible for ensuring excellent front of house guest services for our upscale clubs/lounges.

 

The ideal candidates for these roles will be seasoned hospitality professionals with a food and beverage management background within hotels, restaurants or similar high-end venue.  A team consisting of Bartenders, Cooks, Food Attendants and Custodial Staff will report to the General Manager.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Food & Beverage:
      • Supply chain management/product ordering
      • Proactive menu design based on customer feedback and take-rates;
      • Local menu creativity/food product placement and display.
      • ServSafe / food handling
    • Staffing/Training:
      • Employee coaching and development;
      • Staffing management (coverage)/schedule planning.
    • Other:
      • Proactive communication/escalation of operational issues and ability to problem-solve in partnership with Regional Manager;
      • Hospitality-centric ability to pivot and try new things in partnership with United based on industry trends;
      • Customer service delivery beyond product service and facility cleanliness- ability to create a friendly environment and appropriately engage with guests;
      • Proactive in identifying and communicating key local market needs/trends in order to support creation of a ‘Uniquely United and Distinctly Local” atmosphere.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience   

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
