    Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 for Food Services at Lake City Medical Center. This hospital is located in the beautiful community of Lake City, FL in the heart of Northcentral Florida. This is a charming area and a growth opportunity for the successful candidate located in the heart of the south, 30 minutes north of Gainesville and 60 minutes west of Jacksonville, FL.


    The Food Service General Manager 3 will have direct client, and executive level communication and day to day operational responsibility for this 100 bed acute care facility with a P&L contract including a Sodexo operated Starbucks. You will oversee 25 Sodexo employees and managers. Leading and developing the team; the General Manager will have a heavy presence in the food service/catering operation.  


    The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, extensive knowledge of UFS, labor management system, inventory control management, solid understanding of HACCP procedures. You must demonstrate proven financial success, exceptional interpersonal and technical skills. Additionally, this individual must have good knowledge of Sodexo FMS, as well as, FOSS and CARES and must be able to drive Patient satisfaction results to a high level. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.


    General Manager Responsibilities include:

    • Management of 20 employees and around $1.5 million in managed volume on an annual basis
    • Drives success of the retail food service through analysis of sales volumes and trends, food costs, labor costs, food quality, and level of service.
    • Implements Sodexo systems and programs, and oversees training of staff.  
    • Continuously evaluates service to ensure patient and client satisfaction.
    • Provides catering with a focus on excellent attention to detail, follow through and outstanding customer service.
    • Drives employee engagement and patient satisfaction through strong leadership skills.
    • Demonstrates a detailed understanding of account financial operations at all times.
    • Integrate fully within our client's organization and is a trusted advisor with a customer service focus.
    • Works to achieve company and client financial targets and goals 
    • Responsible for accurate and timely Sodexo and client reporting.
    • Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
    • Must meets (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.

    Position Summary

    Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account
    Provides local leadership and strategic direction while developing team for new and emerging business solutions that sustain growth in the day to day operations.
