A high profile Sodexo account with high expectations from our clients, clientele, and organization located in beautiful Lawrenceville,New Jersey is looking for a “hands On” Executive Chef 2 to drive our catering operations. This position reports directly into an Area General Manager and will supervise 25+ frontline (hourly) Sodexo non-union employees. This position oversees roughly $3.8M in annual managed volume.
We are looking for candidates who are laser focused, creative, and imaginative with a discriminatory eye for detail and excellent business acumen to be our culinary leader. This person will have prior experience managing a diverse “restaurant service” style operation with proven results. This position will work directly with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth dining service at this outstanding account. The position is high impact, high volume that is responsible for catering operations, cafe operations, Starbucks satellite, and child day care.
Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
