    Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking experienced Conference Services Manager to join our Corporate Services Team at American Honda Motors in Torrance, California.

    This Conference Services Manager will plan, coordinate and execute assigned meeting and event groups, while maximizing guest satisfaction. Position is responsible to support, supervise, manage and  provide oversight of conference support department as appropriate to ensure the highest level of service.


    Responsibilities include: 

    • Successfully coordinating details of assigned bookings
    • Obtaining meeting details from Clients (space reservation, set-up, audiovisual requirements, food and beverage)
    • Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing as it relates to the event specifications/logistics. Responsible for timely distribution of event orders as appropriate              
    • Must possess the ability to multi-task multiple meetings simultaneously and at different planning stages
    • Supervise the planning and coordination of meetings and events
    • Maintain strong Client relations and ensure that meeting/event specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience
    • Participate in the planning and establishment of goals and objectives for meetings, conferences, and/or events
    • Provide timely responses to acknowledge requests; confirm reservations; and outline services within the time line parameters established for the client
    • Ensure the execution of meetings and events matches the schedule and event order specifications and meets/exceeds customer expectations
    • Manages Catering dept to ensure guest orders are delivered on time, supports team in execution where necessary
    • Financial oversight for all operating units, including café revenue reporting, catering invoicing & payment processing, payroll, transfers, and POS support
    • Experience in reading and interpreting financial data preferable

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience – 1 year
