Sodexo Schools Services has an opening for a General Manager, Food /Food Service Director located in New York.
Large Urban School District in Upstate NY serving 9,000 students across 21 buildings. This is a 12-month position that offers the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the student population by managing a Nutrition Hub that covers breakfast, lunch, snack programs.
Great opportunity for a strong GM candidate that has great customer service, employee team building, networking, training, innovative leadership skill set with a great focus on details and a strong financial and safety background and experience base.
Prior unit opening experience a plus, marketing skills a plus, must be able to work independently and understand, implement and train associates for great personal success and outstanding customer service.
Must be able to multi task and organize daily tasks to insure operational excellence, growth, and consistency in operating excellent operations.

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
