    Sodexo is seeking an experienced production manager to oversee Resident Dining, Retail and Catering at Grace College and Theological Seminary – a private, faith based university located in Winona Lake, IN.  

     

    Sodexo has partnered with Grace College for close to 15 years, with the dining services program including 1 resident dining hall, concession  services, 3 retail platforms , and both catering and conference services. There are 1000 students on meal plans and living in the resident halls on campus. The dining hall is an "all you care to eat" program with 6 meal plans offered.  Reporting to the General Manager, this Production/ Chef Manager will assist the Campus Dining Team  with  menu management, ordering and inventory processes, scheduling support, training and HACCP standards.  Hands on production, culinary support and oversight of quality.

     

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • Oversee the daily food production including production planning and controls;
    • Oversee  unit safety program
    • Plan and implement special events and market retail locations
    • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
    • manage food costing, controls and compliance;
    • develop menus and manage inventory;
    • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food;
    • have the ability and willingness to recruit, develop and train frontline employees;
    • have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and
    • Knowledge of Sodexo Food Systems is preferred.

     The ideal candidate has:

    • excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;
    • previous experience working in a high volume facility; and
    • strong management skills.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

    Key Duties
    - Executes the culinary function.
    - Customer & Client satisfaction.
    - Handles administrative functions.
     


     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
    Basic Management Experience - 1 year
