    Sodexo is seeking to hire a Chef Manager/Kitchen Manager for Solterra Senior Living in Avondale, Arizona.

    You will be responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen and FOH operations of the senior living Community. Also known as a Chef Manager/Kitchen Manager, their goal is to ensure the kitchen and FOH department runs smoothly and complies with safety regulations. Duties include ordering food, preparing menus, and monitoring staff. The position requires both leadership and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    •  Work with cooks to ensure consistent recipe compliance
    • Assist in completing weekly department inventory
    • Work with cooks to taste and understand flavor profiling
    • Ensure that all safety policies are in place and being followed and that all staff is wearing the correct PPE
    • Work with culinary staff and FOH staff on customer service around special requests, allergens, and food interactions
    • Create scheduled for Department
    • Responsible for summiting invoice payments
    • Responsible for staff training on Safety and Food Safety practices

    Actions may include time management so that residents receive their meals at the same time, assigning tasks as orders come in, inspecting the presentation before meals/ food are delivered, determining the break schedule so that the Department always remains sufficiently staffed, and monitoring the workstations of the BOH & FOH team for cleanliness.

    Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
    Basic Management Experience - 1 year
