Sodexo is hiring an Executive Chef 2 for the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown which is located between Pittsburgh and State College PA. The university has 2400 undergraduate students and the meal program has @ 1500 participants. We have resident dining, retail and catering.
We have a dedicated work-force and good facilities. This person will operate the full service dining hall with oversight of the FOH and BOH staff providing meals to students in the dining program. This a great opportunity for an inovative and creative chef. This position will include presidential catering and other special events. It is in the center of Western PA's biggest outdoor recreation region with ski resorts, white water rafting and other adventure areas within an hour drive.

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
