    Sodexo is seeking an experienced Catering Executive Chef 2 for College of William and Mary located in Williamsburg, VA. 

    The Executive Chef at this location will fill a key role in establishing and maintaining an exceptionally high level of catering culinary standards for our prestigious account at the College of William & Mary located in beautiful and historic Williamsburg, VA.

    The Catering Executive Chef will lead a team of experienced culinarians in executing events for a full service, high end, high volume, and high profile catering program. The Catering Executive Chef is responsible for the development and execution of cuisine for special events and for formal and casual catering ranging from banquets to small dinners. The ideal candidate will have experience of comparable management and food preparation responsibilities including high-end hospitality experience. The Catering Executive Chef shall have extensive culinary training with particular emphasis on recipe and menu development and excellent culinary execution and presentation.

    Position Summary

    Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
    Key Duties
    - Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
    - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
    - Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
    - Manages catering & retail areas.
    - Customer & Client satisfaction.
    - Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
    -  Manages food & physical safety programs.

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
