    Sodexo has a new, exciting opportunity and is seeking a Part Time Registered Dietitian (benefits eligible!) to join the clinical nutrition team at Capital Health (CH), Hopewell Campus in our outpatient Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab and Wellness Programs. CH is a multi-site hospital system with locations in Pennington and Trenton, NJ and employs 15 dietitians/dietetic technicians throughout a range of clinical settings.

    This newly created position will begin with 28 hours/week coverage, with the expectation of becoming full time as the as the programs expand. This position also offers a unique prospect, as group fitness instruction and education may be incorporated into the responsibilities for the right candidate! The dietitian will support a variety of aspects of both programs, including:

    • Education and counseling, in both individual and group settings (primary responsibility);
    • Utilizing the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, intervene and monitor/evaluate patients’ nutritional status, using the IDNT;
    • Competency in nutrition care planning;
    • Enthusiasm for program development with successful implementation and client outcomes;
    • Collaborative participation in multidisciplinary care team activities, community outreach events, work groups and/or hospital-wide committees;
    • Participation in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives

    The ideal candidate will possess and/or be able to:

    Personal Training certification or Group Exercise certification such as: American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), or National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASN) or equivalent based upon specific exercise modality preferred.

    Position Summary

    Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
    Key Duties
    -Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
    -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
    -Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
    -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
    -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
    -Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..

    Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

    Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
