    The Food Service Manager is primarily responsible for patient food services operations, and supports retail dining, food production and ordering.  The ideal candidate is someone with previous restaurant, retail or food service supervisory experience who is looking for a better work life balance.

     

    Responsibilities:
    • This leader will work closely with the team to set the expectations that allows us to achieve at a high level.
    • Oversee the patient dining operations program, and work closely with the Clinical Nutrition Program as well as retail and Culinary Solutions to achieve their goals.
    • Collaborate with Nursing to support the hospital's efforts to embrace innovation and new thinking for driving a healthier future for our patients.
    • Oversee the day to day operations of patient dining and assist with retail dining.

    • Menu planning & forecasting processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)
    • Additionally, the Food Services Manager will appreciate the importance of partnering with hospital leaders and employees in other departments to exceed expectations of patients and guests.
    • Previous experience working in a union environment is preferred
    • Understanding of different nutrition diets
    • 1-2 years of supervisor experience in a food service environment, preferably in patient dining
    • Recent graduates with a nutrition degree and prior supervisory experience are encouraged to apply

    Position Summary

    Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
    Key Duties
    - Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
    - Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
    - Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
    - Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
    - Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement
     

     

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

    Basic Management Experience - 1 year
