Sodexo Schools Segment has an exciting career opportunity for a Chef Manager in South Holland, IL. Reporting to our General Manager, you will lead the food production team members in managing our food production operations. Day to Day this manager will oversee the daily operations of 3 schools in a public-school district. Managing 60+ union employees. You will also oversee the catering program to include planning, costing and executing all catering events. Train employees. Plan menus. Work toward increasing meal counts. Manage food and labor costs. Execute food and physical safety audits. Knowledge of Microsoft office.

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with stellar communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience managing food service in an education environment and supervision of union staff is strongly preferred. Will be responsible for action stations, training, food presentation, catering. Needs someone whose innovative, self-starter, aware of food trends, computer savvy. Chef experience needed to be successful in this role.
