Sodexo’s Corporate Service Division seeks a HSE Manager 2 with the focus of EH&S, based at our pharmaceutical client site in Cambridge, MA. This position will have oversight of 2 locations, one location in Massachusetts as well as one in New Jersey.  Some travel between these sites will be required.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, keep up to date, and deploy standard operational procedures, risk assessments, and annual action plans of the client EHS management system.
  • Lead emergency action plans and coordinate emergency drills.
  • Lead safety improvements for project work that are in alignment with the global strategy to drive safety culture
  • Field Review of High-Risk Work Permits
  • Administrative review of High-Risk Work Permits
  • Serve as liaison for Vendor Contractor Managers and client EHS Management staff
  • Provide review of vendor EHS program through use of Risk Management tool
  • Organize schedule based on project work
  • Coordinate job inspection visits with construction managers
  • Hold daily meetings with vendor EHS Managers
  • Deliver training to key staff on job site requirements and documentation
  • Compile metrics for monthly reporting
  • RCA’s and CAPA Management
  • Participate in client annual EHS audits. Implement and close out audit CAPA’s.
  • Attend weekly meetings and provide EHS updates as needed
  • Participate in managing Sodexo's safety program
  • Develop and implement improvement/corrective action plans
  • Review Job Safety Analysis and help to coordinate activities necessary to ensure successful internal/external audits and other management reviews
  • Provide safety management/incident prevention assistance
  • Investigate serious accidents with Root Cause Analysis to prevent reoccurrence
  • Provide in-house safety training and consulting
  • Present safety updates at internal leadership and client meetings
  • The ideal candidate will have experience facilitating training and strong administrative skills

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • No less than 5 years relevant experience administering Corporate Safety Programs
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to travel (approx. 20%)

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure a safe work environment at client sites by providing HS&E and/or Quality Assurance consultation. This role drives a safety culture at the site level. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance with North American and client safety guidelines. Ensures legal compliance to all Federal (Provincial), State and Local regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of related experience
