Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager for Moffitt Cancer Center located in Tampa, Florida. Moffitt Cancer Center is a 220-bed specialty hospital located in Tampa, FL. Moffitt was the first EAT certified retail space in Healthcare and operates an At Your Request room service dining program scoring some of the highest patient satisfaction scores in the country. Moffitt continues to grow and will exceed 5 million in net sales this year. An additional 120-bed surgical center with patient room service dining and an EAT based retail area will be opening in August. The Patient Services Manager will be expected to drive high patient satisfaction and retail excellence while managing a diverse and engaged team of employees. Preferred registered dietitian for this unit.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ability to direct daily operations of diet office and patient experience ambassadors.
  • Strong computer skills, Health touch and Epic experience preferred.
  • Creating menu updates and assisting in programing changes.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Daily rounding with nursing and patients to drive satisfaction.
  • Support of ordering and stocking of nutritional supplements.
  • Coordinating communication with Registered Dieticians on menu & nutritional changes and system updates.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team member development, engagement, and team building
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop 40 frontline (hourly-paid) staff.
  • drive initiatives to increase patient satisfaction.
  • work closely with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation standards are met.
  • have strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and ensure a high-level of customer service at all times.
  • ensure adherence to all operating standards and policies for the company, client, and regulatory agencies.
  • ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed.
  • have experience managing a diverse workforce and have an inclusive mindset.

  • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC), Sodexo Menu Graphics (SMG), Catetrax and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
