Sodexo has a great opportunity for a Food Service Manager 3 for Frederick Living located in Zieglerville, Pennsylvania, nearby King of Prussia. This Food Service Manager will assist in overseeing the retail C-store, a bistro and independent living dining room service and will support kitchen operations as needed.  The idea candidate will have a strong customer service skills and a passion for making a difference in the lives of our residents and customers.   The Food Service Manager will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 10 hourly employees, front of house and back of house.

The successful candidate will:

• have oversight of the bistro, C-store and independent living dining rooms;
• evaluate and develop service levels for the overall resident meal service program targeted to exceed resident and customer satisfaction;
• ensure food quality and presentation;
• exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits; and
• perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development, scheduling of staff.

• has two or more years prior food service experience;
• prior fine dining and/or restaurant dining experience and catering experience;
• basic culinary knowledge;
• cash handling experience;
• knowledge of computer systems;

• excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
