Sodexo is seeking a high level culinary professional, Executive Chef 2, to support our partnership with child nutrition for Fort Worth ISD in Fort Worth, TX. Ft. Worth ISD prepares all students for success in college, career, and community leadership.  With nearly 70,000 students and 127+ schools, Fort Worth ISD enjoys a diverse student population and strong community partnerships. FWISD’s Gold Seal Early College High Schools promote students’ future success with T-STEM (Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and Pathways in Technology programs. Additionally, the district’s Leadership Academies leverage their local university partnership to sustain recent academic gains. Strong culinarian to work with other chefs and trainers. Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts preferred. Prior K-12 experience and Spanish/English bilingual a  plus 

 

This Executive Chef will provide culinary support within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training, reporting to the Executive Chef 4.  


Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.

- Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
