Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 - Food for its operations at Greenwood House, a skilled nursing community located Ewing, New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career! This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services and ensures resident and client satisfaction

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for the oversight of residential dining services, catering and special events;
  • have for full financial oversight of the account, including budgeting and reporting;
  • provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed;
  • work to obtain optimum client and customer satisfaction;
  • create a positive customer service driven environment, drives employee engagement and customer satisfaction through strong leadership skills;
  • integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor with a customer service focus;
  • strive to achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • work to achieve high quality resident satisfaction;
  • ensure compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards;
  • meet (or exceed) Sodexo standards of operations.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment;
  • prior experience working with union staff;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • have previous food service management experience in a healthcare environment;
  • have culinary understanding and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • have commercial acumen and a good level of computer literacy;
  • are enthusiastic, confident and warm.
