Sodexo Seniors is seeking a talented Food Operations Manager 3 to join our incredible team at Miami Jewish Health in Miami, FL. Miami Jewish Health has an 80-year reputation for providing high-touch personalized care, customized daily activities, soothing routines, and comforting support. Our team is dedicated to understanding the feelings of each and every individual in our care to give them the environment and assistance they need to live life better. 

 

The successful candidate will:

 

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations of the main kitchen; provide additional support for the Independent Living and Assisted Living dining operations as needed;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
  • interface closely and daily with residents;
  • provides stellar customer service;
  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline staff.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • food production experience in either a senior living or healthcare setting; 
  • a certified dietary manager (CDM) certificate or the willingness to obtain within 1st year of employment;
  • hands on skills with inventory management and ordering; 
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop employees;
  • working knowledge of HACCP protocols for regulatory compliance;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
