Nourish is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager at our commissary kitchen in Santa Clara, California.

As the QA Manager at Nourish you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across our commissary kitchen, food delivery operations, and office facilities. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong background in culinary quality assurance and regulatory compliance and a subject matter expert knowledgeable of FDA and OSHA regulations, food safety and facilities safety

Key Responsibilities

 

Food Safety:

 

  • Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs and food safety programs
  • Lead regular audits, conduct mock recall trials, and report findings. Compile and present monthly reports as appropriate
  • Accountable for ensuring regulatory compliance and conducting risk assessments
  • Manage I-Certainty digital HACCP recordkeeping system and ensure systems and procedures are being used correctly. Give training and refresher training to frontline staff. Review and signoff on daily records

 

Facility Health & Safety:

 

  • Accountable for ensuring regulatory compliance and conducting risk assessments and audits
  • Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs and trainings for facility safety
  • Support all OSHA and other regulatory inspections and citations. Ensures abatement of regulatory violations. Act as main liaison with regulatory agencies

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently to achieve expected results and can prioritize work and think strategically
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • HACCP Certification, PCQI and OSHA 10 Certification preferred

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in QA or R&D in a food manufacturing environment with knowledge of food processing regulations (e.g., USDA, FDA)
