Looking to make an impact in the community you serve?  Sodexo has an exciting opportunity for a Fulltime Dietitian to support Faribault Public School District, approximately 50 miles south of Minneapolis- St. Paul in Faribault, Minnesota.

 

This Registered Dietitian or Dietetics Professional (RD-eligible individual) will serve as a community liaison between our Food Services Department and the District Community.  This position will require a passion for increasing food access, and will address food insecurity by engaging the community population (including students, staff members, and community partners) in conversations around food and nutrition. 

 

The successful candidate will:

  • work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, special diets, and dietary accommodations;
  • remain knowledgeable of community access to food and be able to address food insecurity;
  • partner closely with Executive Chefs and/or Food Service management in selecting menu items, evaluating feedback, and determining what can be offered differently;
  • partner with community organizations that provide food to families to help lead those initiatives within the school district;
  • support the growth of special food programs including Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, and Summer Feeding programs;
  • conduct educational events and sessions across the district and community and create regular communications intended to motivate and engage the population food related topics;
  • participate in campus and community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client and community goals;
  • support food service operations as needed.

  • have a dietetics background with a focus on food access and food insecurity;
  • are a Registered Dietitian credentialed with CDR or who are RD-eligible;
  • are an expert on dietary preferences and allergies and will serve to guide nutritional choices accordingly;
  • are passionate about creating a smarter lunchroom;
  • are able to communicate and educate individuals with diverse backgrounds on dietary selections;
  • are able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late afternoons, and some weekends according to the needs of the business.
