Dietitian Nutritionist I

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a part-time (24 hours/week) position at Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital located in Albuquerque, NM. Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital is a 40-bed facility providing post-acute rehabilitation services to patients in and around Albuquerque. This position is eligible for full medical benefits and has a budgeted salary of $28-32/hr.

$2,000 sign on bonus and $2,000 retention bonus!

The successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care to patients on inpatient subacute units;
• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;
• work closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, SLPs, OTs and PTs, providing education as needed; 
• provide routine support to the food service management team, performing quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays; and
• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff.

• Registered Dietitian credentials, or who are RD eligible;
• licensure in the state of NM;
• excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups;
• strong verbal and written communication skills;
• strong time management skills; and
• the ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

Basic Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)  (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master’s degree)

Credentials Requirement:

• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
