Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Café Operations Manager to join our team at one of our prestigious account. The Cafe Operations Manager to support a multi-faceted operation in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Cafe Operations Manager will have front of the house operating responsibilities including the supervision of the team with a focus on excellent customer experience. 

 

The Cafe Operations Manager supports all facets of daily hospitality services. the best qualified candidate will have excellent mentoring experience and a focus on new ideas to enhance the food service operations while staying focused on quality and standards. 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • oversight of day-to-day operations for all food retail areas
  • Deliver high quality food service while engaging with customers
  • Be a hands-on leader AND team player
  • Provide excellent customer service – leading a team while maintaining a clean, safe environment;
  • Lead frontline team, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes
  • Experience with POS programming and technology

This position offers a traditional Business & Industry, Predominately M-F scheduled.  Accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation per year (first year pro-rated based on date of hire).  Medical Benefits beginning date of hire, and 401K with company match eligible

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
