Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 3- Retail to join our team at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.  Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is an 900-bedtertiary-care hospital that includes the region's only children's hospital, Brenner Children's Hospital and The Birth Center.

 

This exciting opportunity for a Retail focused Food Operations Manager 3  will have direct oversite for the Wake Forest Fresh Inspirations Cafeteria, Starbucks, Chic-FILA and the School of Medicine Café.  Supporting a team of 4 salaried managers, supervisors and hourly associates, this role will be responsible for Sodexo ensuring retail standards, cash controls and FMS.

The successful candidate will:

  • utilize Sodexo operational standards and solutions to ensure consistency, efficiency and quality in the delivery of catering offering to the client;
  • own and drive the operational excellence of the catering department and communicates a clear sense of strategy and purpose;
  • develop and execute catering initiatives to drive sales growth and achieve catering revenue forecasts;
  • clearly set roles and expectations for the team;
  • monitor team performance and provide regular coaching/feedback;
  • reward and recognize employees;
  • anticipate client needs and provide subject matter expertise;
  • ensure compliance with all HAACP standards and safety policies in all culinary operations; and/or
  • develop and execute catering initiatives to drive sales growth and achieve catering revenue forecasts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
