Sodexo is seeking our leader for an Environmental Services Custodial Manager position for the Hillsborough Community College system.  This leader will travel to the six Hillsborough Community College locations throughout the county with Mileage reimbursed. Valid Drivers license and transport required.

 

Our successful candidate will manage the happy and cohesive team ethically and honestly and use the Kronos software and Maximo CMMS to manage labor and work orders, experience is preferred. Bilingual , English-Spanish is a plus. This role will provide consistent communication to our high-profile campus clients, reporting out inspections and work order progress. Strong technical skills using multiple software programs, hand held devices and computers is required.

The successful candidate will:  

  • Manage the custodial team, and be available occasional coverage for all campus events on a flexible shift
  • Be a safety champion
  • Demonstrate  Floor Care Knowledge   
  • Provide leadership and support for all shifts
  • Be a Hands-On leader, manage by example
  • Provide immediate response to client concerns
  • Develop improvement plans for noted deficiencies
  • Be a critical thinker, adapt to a changing environment
  • Understand proper use of all tools including, chemicals, floor care equipment
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for clients customers, visitors, and staff
  • Train employees and provide inspections with reporting on team success and challenges
  • Order and maintain proper levels of supply and equipment. Departmental Fiscal Responsibility
  • Effectively manage Sodexo’s SMS system and other Operating Systems, Building supply and inventory system and track consumables of custodial supplies
  • Have ability to work independently to drive program compliance for custodial department and motivate a diverse staff and by managing through shift supervisors 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong Quality Assurance Skills and attention to detail
  • Experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timeliness
  • Ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization
  • 2 years previous custodial or housekeeping supervisory and management experience preferred
  • Strong Computer Savvy and experience with hand held tech, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PP, Outlook
  • Solid leadership skills to develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
