Sodexo is seeking a Dietitian Nutritionist II (Registered Dietitian) for Corpus Christi Medical Center-Drs Regional Hospital located in Corpus Christi, TX.  This, 250 bed, acute-care hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour emergency department, state-of-the-art cardiac cath lab, orthopedic unit, in-patient rehabilitation and neuroscience program. Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC) is the first hospital in Nueces County to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval®, Disease-Specific Care Certification, for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Surgery and is proud to be recognized for Excellence as a Top Performer in Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission.

The dietitian in this role will provide nutrition care to a variety of patients. Remote charting capabilities offered but must live locally within 45-90 miles from location. This position is 50% hybrid and does allow for generous flexibility with partial-remote charting when needed.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;
  • Work a rotating holiday coverage schedule providing hospital wide coverage (no weekends);
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives within the nutrition department;
  • Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses; and
  • Assist the Food Service Management team, as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (Note: For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

 

Credentials Requirement:

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
