Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3, Food, for its operations at Encompass Rehab Hospital of Sewickley which resides in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art building located in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, nearby Pittsburgh. This position will oversee the daily food service operations of patient meal service for approximately 55 patients and an employee cafe.  The General Manager will report to the District Manager and manage one chef manager and an hourly staff of approximately 15 employees. A culinary background and prior healthcare care food service experience is desired.

Are you the experienced food service manager we’re seeking?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • two or more years previous food service management experience ideally in a healthcare environment;
  • prior experience with contract management services in Corporate Dining/Campus/ or Healthcare;
  • a culinary background;
  • strong financial skills, P&L experience;
  • a work history demonstrating strong leadership and hospitality skills and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • knowledge of compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards;
  • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.
