SodexoMagic in Corporate Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Catering and Events to be part of creating memorable experiences for our guests at a potential sale with a corporate client in Foster City, California.

 

This Director of Events and Catering will lead the special events and catering department. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong background in event planning and management, excellent communication and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.

 

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of all events, ensuring they meet client expectations
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their event requirements
  • Work with the Sodexo culinary team to ensure delivery of the menu  
  • Prepare and manage budgets for each event.   
  • Monitor expenses and find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality of service
  • Hire, train, and supervise event staff
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and customer feedback, to make data-driven decisions and improvements   

 

The ideal candidate should have experience in:

  • Event planning and execution
  • Proven track record managing budgets
  • Managing a team
  • Analyzing and tracking reports
  • Solving problems through innovation and industry/market trends

What We Offer

Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, event management and/or restaurant industry background or related field
