Build a dynamic team with diverse knowledge and experience so you can deliver solutions that go beyond expectations.  We are seeking our Facilities Engineering Operations Manager 2 for our client partners at Shaw University in beautiful Raleigh, NC.  Our successful candidate will be a strong hands-on leader with the strongest MEP skillset in Plumbing and electrical. Hands on Maintenance and repair for HVAC including package units and rooftop units is a plus.  Excellent organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency are required for success in the role.

We are looking for candidates who have: 

  • Experience with CMMS, MAXIMO or SchoolDude preferred 
  • The ability to organize the workday in advance to and prioritize work
  • Strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Experience instilling strong work ethics direct report teams and demonstrated strategy develop those skills
  • A proven track record of successful Facilities Management, ideally in a university, hospital or large property
  • Demonstrated success managing schedules, labor and OT, entering and tracking Work Orders using CMMS systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of and  3-5 years experience in HVAC mechanical, electrical, plumbing, safety systems, and team management
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields preferred

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years          

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
