Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for Webster University located in Webster Groves, MO.  Minutes from St. Louis, Webster's home campus is nestled in Webster Groves, a charming and historic residential suburb of St. Louis. Webster Groves is known for Victorian homes, music stores, and unique restaurants that complement the theaters and green spaces on campus.  St. Louis is nearby, with all the cultural and entertainment opportunities of a historic metropolitan city has to offer.

 

Our successful candidate will have proven culinary leadership experience, excellent customer service and proven employee retention, financial acumen and computer skills. Knowledge of creative vegan and vegetarian dining, culinary innovation, and the ability to execute high-profile trends using local, fresh, and flavorful options for students preferred. A proactive hands-on approach that can set standards and follow through on meeting those expectations is preferred.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
