Bring your culinary know-how to Sodexo as our Chef Manager - General Manager for our client partners at Eastern Wyoming College in beautiful Torrington, WY.  Wyoming is home to millions of acres of public land with thousands of lakes, hundreds of miles of hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails, epic rock climbing and skiing destinations, natural hot springs, star-filled night skies and wildlife watching that can’t be matched. Torrington is just 1 hour to Cheyenne and 3 hours to Denver! So, where will your journey begin: water, land or ice/snow? 

 

This position is eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan Bonus.

This exciting role will manage our operations, develop menus and drive the success of our resident dining program for our students, faculty and staff. Our leader will train and mentor our hourly team, manage ordering, inventory, scheduling, payroll, financial reporting and maintain excellent food quality and presentation. 

 
This is a great opportunity for career growth from culinary role into operations!  This Chef Manager/ General Manager will be a Hands On Leader working with a great team!  The successful candidate will:

 

  • Lead / train and develop our cohesive team of seasoned employees,
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships with the campus leadership.
  • Demonstrate financial acumen to meet budget objectives (food and labor costs).
  • Be responsible for the successful coordination and direction of all daily activities related to food service within a  campus account.  
  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Have 2-4 years of food operations management experience in a high volume dining environment;  managing in a contract management background preferred.
  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong coaching and employee development skills
  • Have a passion for culinary innovation
