Sodexo is searching for a Clinical Nutrition Manager II for HCA Rapides Regional Medical Center Hospital a 380 bed facility located in Alexandria, LA. `Conveniently located in downtown Alexandria and easily accessible from throughout Central Louisiana, RRMC offer a wide range of health care services.  includes Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital, featuring obstetrical/gynecological, pediatric and pediatric intensive care services;

 

This a great opportunity to advance your management experience and continue to have patient interaction.  As the Clinical Nutrition Manager, you will serve in a leadership role; manage the nutrition programs and provide direction and training to the team supporting operational excellence.

The ideal candidate reports to the General Manager and will:

  • Be a Registered Dietitian with 3 years experience in acute care and 13 months management and /or as a lead;
  • Eligible for LA licensure before starting
  • Will have strong clinical nutrition skills and be able to establish proactive relationships with the medical staff. 
  • Be responsible for the clinical program, direct care of patients, as well as provide oversight for regulatory and accreditation preparation and visits.(50% patient load 50% management)
  • Supervise client dietitians and be able to collaborates with patient services.
  • Work closely in a multidisciplinary team setting;
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the medical, ancillary staff, administration, as well as represent Sodexo for the facility:
  • Candidates should have excellent communications and strong customer service skills.improvement 
  • Precept Dietetic Interns;
  • Assist General Manager in additional projects and tasks to enhance service culture and more;
  • Work to achieve continuous improvement in patient satisfaction scores;
  • Participates in performance activities
  • Additional responsibilities will include training and education of staff and personnel, and working with the food and nutrition management team to achieve patient satisfaction goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Basic Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

Basic Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
