Sodexo's Universities segment is seeking a dynamic General Manager 5 for Grambling State University in Grambling, LA.  This General Manager will have full financial responsibility for this $10M account where we will provide dining services to include resident dining, retail, and catering for the campus. The best qualified candidates will be good operators with excellent client relations skills and strong financial acumen.  The individual in charge of the Grambling State University campus operations (Foodservice Director) must have a minimum of five years' successful managerial experience in University or University foodservice operations or equivalent.

Are you the experienced general manager we’re seeking?

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • deliver high quality food service;
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and
  • ensure Sodexo and client standards are met.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous General Manager or Director level experience;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • Financial ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with material costs, labor, procurement compliance and controllable expenses.
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS), Market Connections (MSC), Labor management (Kronos) E-vision, UFS (financial systems) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience           

Basic Management Experience - 5 years              

Basic Functional Experience - 5 years
