Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager 2

Sodexo is seeking a Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager at Michigan City Area Schools. Reporting to the Facilities Director you will be responsible for managing all aspects of building service maintenance, custodial operations, as well as the 160 acre grounds for this k-12 public school district. • manage the facility teams ensuring the highest level of service quality while actively mentoring and developing of the facilities team;
• ensure high quality, service, and problem resolution while managing quality assurance and safety programs;
• have experience with project management ensuring project completion within timelines, contract specifications, and budget with oversight of payroll;
• assist in monitoring employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity;
• ensure compliance with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures;
• evaluate, identify, and implement new ideas, technologies or process improvements to increase organizational efficiencies and cost savings.

• a proven track record of successful Facilities Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;
• strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, sports fields, turf management and grounds and landscape;
• proficient knowledge of CMMS systems;
• exceptional customer service and client relationship building via strong communication skills, along with strong leadership skills and a focus on staff development and team building; 
• strong attention to detail and administrative skills to ensure accurate and timely documentation;
• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) is a plus.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
