Sodexo is seeking an innovative Food Retail Operations Manager for Colorado Mesa University. This Leader will be highly visible to students, staff, and clients and must possess the skills to manage all retail units with a

focus on Customer Service Excellence.

The candidate will display a great deal of creativity with food options, retail trends and programming. You will have oversight of multiple retail locations including an Einstein Bros. Bagels, Starbucks Chick-fil-A and Qdoba. We are looking for an innovative leader who is comfortable with technology advances, learning new retail programs and who has strong employee engagement skills and can drive strategic growth.

 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • 3 – 5 years restaurant management experience in National Branded Food concepts (ie: Starbucks, Qdoba, Einstein Bagels, Chick-fil-A, etc), or background in large restaurant or other food concepts;
  • have a work history in Food Retail management demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

Are You the One? The successful candidate will:

  • motivate, coach, mentor and develop managers and frontline (hourly-paid);
  • oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
  • ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
  • maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands); and
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
