Come join our Sodexo Clinical Team at the Center for Better Aging at St. Bernard Hospital in Chicago, Il.  We are seeking a part-time, 20 hours/week Registered Dietitian to work Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.  The Center for Better Aging serves the over 50 population, addressing the South Side population’s high rate of heart disease, diabetes, strokes, chronic illness, mental and cognitive illness. This part-time position will provide out-patient counseling and education, serving as a resource for the Center for Better Aging and the community. 

 

Experience with the geriatric population and the development of programs such as food access is a plus!

The successful candidate will: 

  • provide out-patient clinical nutritional counseling, education and services; 

  • attend periodic community events; and
  • collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in Illinois or can apply to for Illinois license;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 
 
Credentials Requirement:
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
 
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
