Sodexo is seeking a hands-on Environmental Services/Custodial Operations Manager to join our team at the Lincoln County School District located on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. This position provides a great work-life balance as it is primarily M-F with flexibility to business needs on weekends and on-call for emergencies. Lincoln County, Oregon has 981.0 square miles of land area and is the 27th largest county in Oregon by total area. The District serves about 5,100 students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in 11 regular schools and 3 public charter schools, with a total of approximately 600 employees. We focus on every child, every day, future ready. 

Lincoln county school district spans over roughly 1000 square miles on the Oregon coast, in four coastal cities which include: Waldport, Newport, Toledo, and Lincoln City. The central office is located in Toledo, OR at the Facilities & Maintenance business park. 

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least five years of environmental Service /Housekeeping /Custodial experience with strong, proven communication skills, and the ability to prioritize service needs. A valid driver’s license is required for this position to commute between locations. 

The successful candidate will:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of custodial services;
• ensure a clean, safe environment throughout campus for all students, faculty, employees and guests;
• focus on safety;
• have excellent time management, strong communication skills, be hands-on, be capable of combating adversity, manage various personality types, be innovative, and be solution-oriented;
• develop staffing schedules;
• have knowledge of payroll and ordering supplies;
• hire, train and develop a strong team, including safety training, use of equipment including but not limited to wet/dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts;
• demonstrate a willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment with a desire for career advancement.

• Have 5 or more years previous custodial / grounds / maintenance / environmental services or similar management experience;
• have experience driving customer service satisfaction;
• possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance while providing employee reviews and feedback;
• effectively communicate to all levels within the organization;
• are results and safety-driven;
• can multi-task and set priorities;
• have a strong working knowledge of cleaning standards, cleaning chemicals, floor care, high-touch cleaning, etc.
