Sodexo Energy & Resources is seeking a qualified Business Analytics Specialist  to drive a safety compliance culture for an Oil & Gas client in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance with North American and client safety guidelines and supports the site safety managers.

Coordinate with safety directors/managers, Operations, Construction in administration of HSE-related tasks and assignments to ensure actions are identified, assigned, involve the right people, and completed successfully and on time.   Actions come from audits, site walks, learning teams and other internal activities, NorAm, OE Advisors, and Impact. 

Key  Responsibilities

  • Support the HSE directors and Safety team in ensuring effective and timely administration and completion of tasks, reporting and management of HSE information resources.
  • Partner with site operations managers and  client to manage/improve HSE documentation and reporting in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with operations, construction, engineering, and leadership team.
  • Maintain routine engagements with sites to help ensure awareness and expectations of Sodexo and client HSE requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities with current processes internally and with client.
  • Work closely with site operations, construction, and engineering to understand their HSE needs, objectives, and challenges.
  • Document and analyze HSE requirements, processes, and workflows.
  • Analyze current requirements, procedures, etc. to implement efficiency improvements into clear and concise functional specifications for HSE team, operations, and construction.

Sodexo Internal and Client Communication and Reporting

  • Assist safety directors with tasks and reporting (client contract owner, supply chain managers, OE Advisors, Sodexo tech & services, Sodexo E&R interfaces).
  • Support safety managers and site operations with routine/monthly safety updates for client monthly MORs
  • Support other communication and reporting as required: planning, development, data gathering and analysis, reporting

Records Management and Administration 

  • Primary administrator for Sodexo Investigation Smartsheet and SALUS Incident Management application to ensure events are properly documented, investigated, completed. Support Safety Directors on similar client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date HSE records and documentation.
  • Emergency events, injuries, leave of absence.
  • Sodexo casualty claims
  • Training, competency, training calendar, monthly safety focus, on-request training

HSE Project Management

  • As new HSE-related initiatives and programs arise, collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or deviations from the plan.
  • Support team in communication and implementation plan

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
