Do you enjoy a high energy, fast paced environment?  Sodexo is seeking a third shift General Manager 4 Environmental - Custodial Services for our new account at University of Louisiana - Lafayette.  **RELOCATION assistance is available!**  Our campus is recognized among the top universities in the country for their impressive academic programs, sustainability initiatives, and operating strong diversity and inclusion principles. Our successful candidate will  have 3 years strong custodial management background with sound training skills, and excellent floor care knowledge.

 

Our Sodexo Environmental Services - Custodial teams work to direct custodial operations at our university accounts, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions. This General Manager has responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of staff and faculty, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and student satisfaction.

 

Our successful leader will manage over 2 million sq ft of cleanable area across 40 buildings, manage a staff of 2 managers and over 60 employees. Our ability to create a clean, healthy and comfortable environment for our students is key to the successfulstudent experience.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have 5 - 7 years previous custodial or housekeeping management experience preferably in a large campus or hospital environment
  • Are leaders who develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
  • Are an expert in building and maintaining strong client, employee and student relationships
  • Possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • Can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management
  • Are an expert in building and maintaining strong client, employee and student relationships
  • Have strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Are proficient with computers and other technology
  • Have experience with contract management

The successful candidate will:

  • Have exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • Be responsible for driving client and student satisfaction scores
  • Provide a clean and safe environment for students, visitors and staff
  • Partner with the Environment of Care Committee, and other key members of university leadership
  • Effectively manages the client contract and maintain strong financial oversight
  • Support a diverse and inclusive workforce
