Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 3 for Troy University located in Troy, Alabama, just one hour from the capital, Montgomery and only 3 1/2 hour drive to the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores, AL The Executive Chef will lead the culinary functions at Trojan Dining Hall, featuring 9 different stations.  In addition, the Executive Chef will be responsible for budgeting, cost control and execution of the menu cycle; assure that food production is in compliance with the Drive program; and hire and train culinary staff for all locations.

Are You The One?  The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
