Sodexo has an opportunity for an Executive Chef 2 - Campus Dining to support our dining operations at Evangel University, a faith based campus in Springfield, MO.  Springfield is in the heart of the Ozarks - is a family friendly city alive with outdoor and cultural experiences.

The Executive Chef is responsible for Student Dining, Food Retail and Catering functions. Our successful candidate will have proven leadership experience, excellent customer service, promote a customer/client centered culture and improve partnerships. Ability to work with and grow a diverse staff, manage a busy catering schedule, and professionalism in client contact is important in this position.

• 2-4 years culinary background in a high volume dining environment: University/Campus Dining, Hospital or large Corporate dining;
• the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends;
• excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards;
• strong coaching and employee development skills; and
• have a passion for food and innovation.

The successful candidate will:

• have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
• be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
• ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and
• have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
