Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking an experienced Field Marketing Specialist 1 for UMaine located in Orono Maine. We are seeking a creative and organized Promotions and Event Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of marketing events to enhance the university’s brand and engage with our community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event management and a strong background in marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of university events, including conferences, open houses, alumni gatherings, and promotional events.
• Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and university departments to ensure successful event execution.
• Marketing Campaigns: Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote events, utilizing various channels such as social media, email, and print.
• On-Site Event Management: Oversee all on-site event activities, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise.
• Budget Management: Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and gather insights for future improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in event planning and marketing, preferably within an educational or non-profit setting.
• Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Creativity: Innovative thinker with the ability to develop engaging event concepts and marketing strategies.
• Team Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including faculty, staff, and external partners.
