Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Unit Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for a pharmaceutical client in Boston & Cambridge, MA. In this role, you'll drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety policies and all Federal, State, and Local regulations. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, particularly in construction projects, and providing strategic safety oversight across two client sites. What You'll Do

  • Ensure successful client and third-party audits of Sodexo and client HSE activities.
  • Investigate HSE incidents and audit findings, reporting in a timely manner.
  • Add value by implementing efficient, standardized systems and processes to enhance safety.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering HSE expertise and advice to operational teams.
  • Conduct inspections of HSE compliance for all project activities and collaborate on corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Promote a safety culture through training, site walkthroughs, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in R&D facilities.
  • Knowledge of site-specific OSHA requirements and ability to assess HSE strategies effectively.
  • Experience in training staff, overseeing projects, and proactive hazard evaluation.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., confined space, fall prevention, asbestos, etc.).
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive HSE audits and implement safety measures.
  • At least 5 years of experience administering corporate safety programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
