Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a talented Chef Manager to join our team at The Wesleyan in Georgetown, Texas.  This vibrant community has recently been ranked among America’s Best Nursing Homes by Newsweek in its 2024 listing.  Over 400 Residents enjoy an active lifestyle on a beautiful campus with fabulous dining options, activities and amenities!    

 

This Chef Manager will oversee the food operations serving our skilled care residents on campus.  The ideal candidate will be hands-on as needed, have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy working with seniors, and managing and developing their team.  Best qualified candidate will possess excellent leadership and culinary skills with previous senior living or healthcare experience preferred. Typical shift will be 8:00am - 5:00pm with some weekend coverage.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu/recipe compliance, inventory, food production forecasting, hands-on cooking;
  • supervision of trayline operations;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
