Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced General Manager (Food) for UMass Memorial Health - Memorial Campus located in Worcester, MA. In this role you will report to the Area GM, and will be a part of the Sodexo food service management team that supports the system.  The GM will lead a team of 7 managers, 80 frontline hospital employees, and 1 administrator for a 250 bed hospital.  You will also have responsibility for a small off-site outpatient building where Sodexo provides retail food service.

 

UMass Memorial Health is the largest health care system in Central MA, and the third largest in the state of MA.  In this management position within Sodexo, you would be bonus eligible.  

 

 

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of all day-to-day operations for all food operations
  • effectively lead the team through all Sodexo managers and hospital front line staff
  • ensure delivery of high quality food services including cafeteria retail, patient meals, and any catering needs that may arise
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and Sodexo standards compliance

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience  
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years              
Minimum Functional Experience - 5 years
