Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 3 for the Port Angeles School District located in Port Angeles, WAOur General Manager will have operational and financial over-site for the food and nutrition departments that are comprised of 8 schools and approximately 3,500 students. This position requires someone that has the ability to communicate effectively and be able to respond to the needs of district administration, staff, employees as well as parents, students and community. Must be able to provide strong leadership and direction to the food service department with a focus on providing innovative and high-quality programs. This position offers a great work-life balance where the candidate will typically work M-F.  At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; 
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) The Market Connection (TMC) and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience. This does not apply to external candidates.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
