Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Sous Chef at Mt. Ascutney Hospital, located in Windsor, VT.  In this role, you will report to the Executive Chef.  The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, and may include some weekends, and requires the need for flexibility with scheduling between the operating hours of our kitchen, between 5 a.m. - 8 p.m.. 

 

 

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will:

 

  • have oversight of day-to-day kitchen production operations; coordinate all tasks through frontline employees
  • deliver high quality food services for patient services 
  • monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • fill in when Exec Chef is out, including inventory management and ordering of food and milk supplies
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance, and that all Sodexo standards are met
