Sodexo is seeking an Food Operations Manager 3 for WellStar MCG in Augusta, GA

 

Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center offers the most advanced comprehensive care to the people of Augusta and the surrounding areas. Their 520-bed tertiary hospital provides cutting-edge technology and extensive expertise to create a healthcare experience that delivers high-quality care for your medical, surgical, rehabilitative or emergency needs. 

 

The Food Operations Manager 3 at this location will have major control in running the patient service operations within the Food and Nutritional Services Department.

 

The selected candidate will:

  • take the lead on recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, purchasing, inventory management, menu design, altering operations if necessary, anything required to increase the patient satisfaction scores within the department
  • have food-service experience within the health care industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a large team in a busy environment
  • be an early riser, with the normal starting time for this role being 5:30am unless operations require otherwise (hours may vary per needs of the business)
  • be heavily involved in managing patient breakfast and lunch periods
  • have a Patient Service Manager reporting to him/her who will work in a closing role
  • support the staff during dinner service

What You'll Do

Responsibilities of this role will include:

  • patient service operations and be responsible for menu development;
  • diet office operations;
  • operational excellence;
  • KPI attainment;
  • client and Sodexo budget adherence;
  • management of frontline staff;
  • c-suite relationships at the local hospital and health system level;
  • overall coordination and delivery of Sodexo's patient service programs and high standards for this prestigious client organization;
  • frequent interaction with Patient Experience Managers, ensuring a high-level of patient satisfaction and experiences

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
