Sodexo Campus Dining is hiring for an Executive Chef 2 for the University of Jamestown, in Jamestown, North Dakota.   Our fast-paced kitchen team manages all of our Student Dining Meals, as well as Catering and Concessions.  With Summer Camps and Conferences, we are a year-round account with room to grow.  If you are driven by creating nutricious meals for our students while ensuring safety, quality, and maintaining standards, this is a perfect fit for you!

What You'll Do

Is this the right opportunity for you?  The successful candidate will:

 

  • Be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Have a proven track record developing and motivating team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • Have high expectations for customer service and quality of food

What You Bring

Are You the ONE?  We are looking for candidates who have:

 

  • 3 - 5 years experience in a high volume, fast paced kitchen, University or other large volume dining experience preferred
  • A strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, and strong coaching and employee development skills
  • Have a passion for food and innovation and looking for opportunities to grow your culinary career

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
