Chef Manager

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Chef Manager for Citizens Care located in Frederick, Maryland.  Aurora Citizens Care is a skilled care and rehab center and an assisted living community serving approximately 175 residents.  This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career and provide excellent service to our residents. Candidates should be passionate and enjoy client and resident interaction. 

The successful candidate will:

• assist with overseeing the daily kitchen operations;
• be hands on and cook daily;
• ensure safety and sanitation compliance;
• train and mentor cooks;
• ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
• have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees; and
• knowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Sodexo offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include:

• knowledge of regulatory compliance, HACCP;
• prior experience in healthcare food service with knowledge of special diets;
• experience supervising and training cooks with an exceptional supervisory skillset;
• an enthusiasm for working with a diverse set of people, are confident and warm;
• a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
