Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager 3 for MVHS Wynn Hospital, an impressive, state of the art hospital, located in downtown Utica, NY.

 

The Food Production Manager 3 will have culinary management responsibilities and work alongside our Sodexo Executive Chef while utilizing an Expressly for You (EFY) patient dining program, and pod system. This role will work alongside the Executive Chef on standardizing all culinary systems and procedures for menus, FMS sheets, garnishes, planning charts, production, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, and safety.

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will: 

  • train new hires, provide mentoring, and counseling for a team of approximately 30 client, union staff 
  • have purchasing responsibilities and food cost management
  • conduct audits, create action plans based on audit findings
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • create a positive environment; and/or
  • be responsible for food and physical safety
  • DNV regulations, DOH - Food Safety/Physical Safety
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
